Tips to land it

The 1080 (3 full spins) requires a very committed takeoff and strong core throughout the rotation.
Stay perfectly compact during the first two spins, only open up at the last.
Practice the rotation speed indoors or on a trampoline before attempting it on the water.
Allow for a safety margin in height: a failed 1080 is easier to recover from high than low.
