Rotations done flat on the water (a surface trick), board always in contact with the water: from 180° to 1440°, frontside or backside, handle free, handle-passed, wrapped or ole.
The rider releases the handle on a heelside edge and throws the board behind them, above the head, Superman-style. The biggest family: variants add a grab, rotation or handle pass (S-bend, Hinterberger, 118...).
A backroll taken on a heelside edge: the upper body tips backward as the board flips. Done as a single, double, or with a handle pass (Moby Dick) and ole (Whirly Bird).
The board rotates nose over tail on a heelside edge - roughly the reverse of a tantrum. Single, double, or with a handle pass (Mobe, KGB).
A forward flip taken on a heelside edge: the board flips tail over nose like a cartwheel. With or without rotation/handle pass (Slim Chance).
A rotation taken on a toeside edge where the board turns heel over toe. Done with added rotation and handle pass (Crow Mobe, Dum Dum).
Tricks released straight off the water, no kicker needed (bell air, ben air, egg roll...) - flat-water variants of the tantrum, railey and front roll families.
The rider grabs an edge of the board by hand, during an ollie or another trick, to style out the air (Indy, Melon, Method...).
Tricks done on metal park features (rails, boxes): slides, lips, and transfers between features.
