🇩🇪 Duisburg, Germany
Photo: official website of the Bricks
Founded in 1983 as Strandbad Wedau, the site was completely redesigned in 2012 to become the Bricks, one of the most unique cable wakeboarding spots in Germany.
117 concrete blocks (up to 2.5 tons each) shape the banks of the water, creating an aesthetic inspired by skateboarding rather than traditional wakeparks. The claimed result: wherever you fall, you're never far from the edge.
Managed by Wasserski Wedau GmbH, the Bricks features two full-size cable installations and a regularly updated lineup of modules designed by UNIT Parktech. The spot has hosted several editions of the contest The Bricks Open and remains associated with pro rider Felix Georgii.
A must-visit spot for wakeboard enthusiasts passing through the Duisburg area in North Rhine-Westphalia.
